Global Mapping of Romanticism (K-SAA podcast interview)

I am on K-SAA's new podcast, Global Mapping of Romanticism, with Yu-Hung Tien to share my professional experience studying and teaching first in the UK and now in Japan, exploring how students with different cultural backgrounds (or studying in different countries) receive and interact with Romanticism. We look at the differences and similarities between the terminologies used to discuss “Global Romanticism,“ such as “global,” “transcultural,” “transnational,” or “trans-geographical.” We also explore the role that “paratexts“ might take in facilitating the global reception of Romanticism.

The interview is also available on Spotify.
